Architecture program supports local communities
“I wanted to be able to walk into a room of men and say with confidence that I knew what went into those beams and the rafters and the electrical,” Suding said. “It was really important for me to take advantage of everything Ball State has to offer in their architecture program.”

Local recreational path raises concern for pedestrians
The Cardinal Greenway is the largest recreational trail in Indiana. The trail allows pedestrians to bike ride, walk, run, and enjoy the scenery through many parks and nature-filled areas.
Conservation education is key
“We’ve seen record numbers of volunteers,” Phillips said. “People that really didn’t know too much about nature, coming to help and the thousands of hours that they give every single year donating their time to us.”
Work Continues for MARRC
Six months ago, in the Islamic Center of Muncie, AWAKEN founder Bibi Bahrami decided it was time to help Afghan refugees here in Indiana. She formed an organization, along with the support of local Muncie churches, called the Muncie Afghan Refugee Resettlement Committee, also more widely known as MARRC.
A new plan for an inclusive campus
On Feb. 7, the Campus Climate and Culture Survey launched and is available to all affiliated with Ball State. This survey, the first in many, is aimed to understand the diversity of campus and how, based on a students perspective, can the university make changes towards inclusivity.
Welcome Home: A nonprofit organization in Muncie created a subcommittee dedicated to the relocation of Afghan Refugees
From trying to create a small committee through AWAKEN, a large sub-organization was created. Muncie Afghan Refugee Resettlement Committee, also known as MARRC, is now the leader in the resettlement of refugees in Indianapolis and across the country to Muncie, Indiana.

Ice cream, donuts, boba oh my! Jack’s Donuts is back in Muncie after a while. The donut shop from New Castle, Ind made its way to Muncie years ago. However, the shop closed around three years ago. Now, the franchise has a new owner in Muncie and opened its doors to the Ball State University community on Oct. 5.

Theatre is a place where goers can get dressed up and enjoy a night on the town. However, in COVID-19 times, this looked a lot different. The play "The Delays" is making its debut here on campus, however, not through a stage.
