Muncie City Council unanimously passed a resolution at its Monday meeting condemning racism in the City of Muncie.

Muncie Community Schools announces reopening plan

At the Muncie Community Schools (MCS) special board meeting Tuesday, Lee Ann Kwiatkowski, director of public education and CEO, announced the schools’ reopening plan for the upcoming semester.

Here’s how athletics will return for Muncie Community Schools

At the Muncie Community Schools (MCS) board meeting Tuesday, Muncie Central High School Principal Chris Walker, and athletic director, Tom Lyon announced the return of athletics in the school district and how it would happen. The plan will occur in three phases beginning July 6.

Ball State, Muncie community members march for George Floyd, racial injustice

On a sunny Thursday afternoon several members of the Ball State and Muncie communities gathered outside Shafer Tower for the march protesting the death of George Floyd and racial injustice against African Americans.

Muncie, Ball State leaders hold community forum on racial injustice

In response to the death of George Floyd and protests happening across the country, a community forum was held Wednesday at the Dress Barn inside Muncie Mall to address the status of racial injustice in the City of Muncie.
