Yorktown baker focuses on allergen-friendly recipes
Found on Facebook as Sweet Confections, Theresa O’Brian runs a small business baking cookies and cupcakes out of her Yorktown-based home. For the last three years, parents of Cardinals have been able to place orders for their students that O’Brian then hand delivers to dorms and off-campus residences. O’Brian started baking years ago as a hobby, following the footsteps of her mother who would bake while O’Brian was growing up. Their family made everything homemade out of necessity, so they knew what was going into their food.
Board of Trustees discuss new additions to the university
The board of trustees met June 14 to discuss the current and upcoming budget for students and staff, facility pay increases, benefits for staff and a new addition for the university. Two people were also recognized for their hard work and contributions to Ball State University.

In a presentation titled “The Village Redevelopment At Ball State University,” had information and updates for how the Village, which is located at the south-east corner of campus, was shared. The majority of updates came from Fairmount Properties, the development partner for the project.
Authors of book “Cold Case Muncie" host event at Muncie Public Library
True crime journalists and authors Douglas Walker and Keith Roysdon co-wrote a book titled, “Cold Case Muncie.” At the Carnegie Library May 14, the authors shared comments about their findings as well as a Q&A session with the audience.

Ball State field hockey fell to Miami University on Senior Day 7-0 Oct. 28. The loss leaves the Cardinals 7-10 on the season and brings the RedHawks to 11-6.
