Gen Z is presented with the opportunity to lead, and we must take that mantle
ByGen Z has the weight of the world on their shoulders, and I believe that we will be able to help make humanity not only survive but thrive for generations to come.

When I think about Christmas all that comes to mind is cold hours shoveling snow off your car, just to go to a mall with a bunch of stressed adults dragging their screaming snotty children away from screen displays.
Do not let the traditional structures of college trap you into a four-year plan. Graduating in three years or five years does not make you less of a student than students who took the traditional four-year path. At the end of the day, there is nothing on the degree you receive that says how many years it took. Put yourself in the driver’s seat of your future.
These many men choosing not to enroll in college are not making these decisions simply out of laziness or out of spite for school. I believe they’re making fully conscious and well-informed decisions
I’m not saying love languages have to take over your whole life, but in my experience, having them in the back of your mind and putting in an effort makes things easier.
I want to be clear. I love this community, and I would never want to come off as if I were bashing it, but there are real issues facing us, and if we continue to uphold power structures that are similar to those we are attempting to free ourselves from, we will never get further in our fight.
If I take the night off, lounge around my room and get too comfortable, I’ll start to lose pace; it’s a spiral I’ve met before and have been running from ever since.
I live with depression, and across my life, I have been through a rollercoaster of emotions. I have chased a sense of belonging — a feeling that desires to be truly wanted. Likewise, I am telling my story to shed light on the lack of attention on men’s mental health.
You may not feel all that powerful, coloring in a circle next to the name of your preferred candidate, while in the voting booth. But in that voting booth, you are powerful. You and all the millions of Americans voting alongside you are powerful.
It is time to take a stand against the evils of the world, to be informed about what is going on within our external factors. We must have the confidence and will to be a leader and push for the change we want to see.
As a society, we have put our literal well-being on a backburner and chosen to prioritize “the hustle.” We’re obsessed with “the grind” and “getting the bag.”
I saw what opioid addiction could do. I saw the shaking, tremors and slurred speech. I saw my friends whose parents were laid off and couldn’t afford the Lunchables that many of us had in our lunchboxes. I saw the countless businesses that moved onto the mostly desolate main street – floundering and failing before the end of the year. I saw how hillbilly transplants and middle Americans felt left behind in political endeavors.
If you are a survivor of sexual violence, you are not alone. You are loved and valued; please know the pain won’t last forever. You are so strong, and I’m proud of you for being here.
We are a generation that questions everything put in front of us, yet we have failed to question our surroundings and just accept our fates. This is not to say students are lying about their experiences or blowing them out of proportion, but I’m simply trying to say that we as students must provide for ourselves — our education is in our hands.
Now, motherhood is a life to be dictated by the whim of state policymakers, rather than a woman’s own free will.
Indiana’s state legislature is 82 percent male, and they overwhelmingly voted in favor of removing ALL exceptions and against expanding access to sexual education, contraception, which prevents unplanned pregnancies and the abortions they purport to want to stop, did not listen to most Hoosiers.
The message of this tale is simple: people should not go to events that they do not agree with. And the fact of the matter is that people have been attending Sister Cindy’s sermons to protest her contested views; however, these protests may be the fuel that allows Sister Cindy to become more popular with each passing day.
Whether I was gravitating toward the approval of my parental figures or being the go-to-person for everyone when they were down or in need of assistance, I adopted a lifestyle of being a perfectionist — a lifestyle that consisted of being there for others as much as I wished someone was there for me.
Society has used inappropriate language to describe autism; using demeaning and belittling language to then build up a narrative of someone “heroically” overcoming their disability. This is one of the reasons why I despise shows like “America’s Got Talent” so much for how they depict people with autism. We are just trying to do the same things that neurotypical people do; our path to doing it is just different.
JOSLIN: The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 represents the most important environmental legislation in decades. It still isn't enough.
