When it comes to the Kardashians, it’s safe to say that this family is not too shy about a little camera action. We've known that ever since 2007, when the TV reality series “Keeping up with the Kardashians” debuted.
Since then, this family has endured all type of love and hate that the media could give. But in light of it all, the Kardashians have taken the fashion industry by storm.
As a fashion merchandise major and of course a fan of the Kardashians, I can come off a little biased, but I'm pretty impressed with what I found out about these fashion moguls.
In 2006 Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe opened their first DASH Boutique in Calabasas, California. When they first opened the store, this trio handled everything on their own. One sister did the buying, one ran the registers and floors sets, while another handled the budget. I don’t know about you, but that gives them cool points in my book.
From that point on, the DASH Boutique has been a major success. There are now three different stores in the the fashion capitals of the U.S. – Los Angeles, Miami and New York. That was just the beginning of it all.
With time, the ladies branded their name together in fashion with a clothing line, hair products, a perfume and many other things. For women, they created the Kardashian Kollection, which is sold at Sears. Driven by their love of children, and Kourtney Kardashian being a mother, they created the Kardashian Kids collection. They also have the Kardashian Beauty line that focuses on hair products and a hair dryer/ flat-iron line.
Together, the dynamic trio has made a huge name for themselves in fashion. But if you have a sibling, you know what it's like to want your own accomplishments. The Kardashian sisters did just that.
Here’s a little something you didn’t know. You, right there with those shoes from Just Fab. Yeah I’m talking to you. Did you know that Just Fab is the parent company of ShoeDazzle? Probably not. I bet you also didn’t know that the co-founder and one of ShoeDazzle’s stylist is Kim Kardashian herself. She has been since the company was founded in 2009.
Khloe Kardashian, being the baddie that she is, just rips every red carpet that she walks on. The majority of her work with fashion has been dedicated to DASH Boutique and other clothing lines with her sisters. In 2010, they released another line called K-Dash, which is only available on QVC. She appeared in Peta's “I’d Rather Go Naked than Wear Fur” campaign. With her husband, Lamar Odom, she created a perfume called Unbreakable Joy in 2012.
All I can say is Kourtney, Kourtney, Kourtney. There is no way you can say this mom of three doesn’t represent the fashion industry well. After the birth of her first son, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner opened a children’s clothing boutique in Los Angeles and New York which sells almost all the high end kids merchandise that one could image.
I mean come on, what’s a fashionable toddler without his or her $1,000 mini jackets and strollers. Along with that, she focuses on interior design around her house that has been featured in many magazines. You will never catch her slipping in fashion, nor will you see her children that way. Kourtney Kardashian is #Mommychic.
These are just a few of things that these reality stars focus on when it come to the fashion industry. You can get more of an insight of their styles and businesses by checking out their personal Instagrams and business sites.
