Tonight: A calm night is in store for this evening. Lows will drop into the mid-40s with partly cloudy skies and calm winds as well. It should be a great night to take a walk while wearing a light jacket.

Tomorrow: A jacket will come in handy tomorrow morning before temperatures warm up rapidly through the day. Highs will break the 70 degree mark again in the afternoon, with winds remaining calm blowing 5-10 mph throughout the day. The clouds that move in overnight will make their way out and result in sunny skies by noon.

Seven-Day Forecast: The first severe threat of the year for East Central Indiana arrives Friday evening into early Saturday morning. Muncie is in the slight risk for severe weather, which is a two out of five on the Storm Prediction Center severe weather scale. Heavy rainfall and wind gusts are the primary threats with this system. Begin to make a severe weather plan and have a safety kit ready to go in the event of severe weather. Storms will remain throughout Saturday before moving out of the area by Sunday afternoon. A steep temperature drop into the high-40s will follow before rising back into the 60s by the next work week. The sun will make a return by Monday as well. Make sure you stay up to date on the severe weather threat for the rest of the week!
