MUNCIE, Ind. — The non-profit organization aims to provide services to people at risk of losing their independence.
The services are specifically for older adults and people with disabilities—for example, individuals with Dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
LifeStream features six services to choose from:

Information & Assistance
- Anyone interested in its programs will call the agency and receive information regarding qualifications.

In-Home Care Management & Options Counseling
- The clients will be connected to an in-home service of care that is suggested.

Nutrition
- LifeStream offers senior community cafes, home-delivered meals and nutrition vouchers for clients seeking a warm meal.

Wellness
- This program helps promote active living among the clients and their caregivers.

Transportation
- A form of transportation is provided to anyone in East Central Indiana.

Caregiver Support
- Caregiver education and support groups are provided to acknowledge the often-overlooked challenges those who care for someone face.
By Hand and Fork hosts a confidential, educational, and supportive caregiver gathering on the last Monday of every month.
One caregiver program coordinator, Tia Drumm, said, “The gatherings are a safe place to share information with people going through the same journey.”
All the programs and services are available to individuals across 12 counties in East Central Indiana. According to Christy Davidson, a dementia outreach specialist, the organization's initiative is vital because of its focus on spreading awareness to the community.
