The Ball State Daily News will use this program to honor athletes who had an impressive week or a breakout performance. Candidates will be chosen and the community can cast their votes.
Candidates will be announced every Monday with the voting closing on the following Tuesday at 5 p.m. The winner will be announced later that evening.

The Ball State Daily News is partnered with the Muncie Sports Commission for this program. This will help determine nominees for the end of the year award show next spring. Here are the Delaware County Athlete of the Week nominees from Monday, Nov. 25 to Saturday, Nov. 30.
Delta senior boys’ basketball player Jordan Furney: In Delta’s 48-36 win over Connersville, Furney led the blue and gold with 14 points.
Yorktown senior boys’ basketball player Austin Kates: In the Tigers’ 55-47 victory over Greensburg, Kates led Yorktown with 18 points.
Wapahani junior boys’ basketball player Camden Bell: In the Raiders’ 51-27 win over Muncie Central, Bell led the red and white with 18 points.
Wes-Del senior boys’ basketball player Josiah Love: In the Warriors’ 64-48 win over Alexandria-Monroe, Love led the black and maroon with 29 points.
