At approximately 9:27 a.m. Nov. 15, the Ball State Daily News received reports of Ball State’s campus losing power.
Greg Fallon, Associate Vice President of University Communications and Digital Strategy provided the following statement on the outage.
"It’s believed a squirrel touched electrical connectors at an electrical substation and brought down a transformer. The University’s high voltage electricians are working to switch service to a second transformer," he said via email.
Similarly, nearly two weeks ago on Nov. 3, the north half of Ball State's campus lost power twice in the day due to a squirrel tripping an electrical transformer on campus.
