Tonight - Tonight rain and gusts brought by Hurricane Helene will arrive in Muncie. Overnight we will see rainfall in a limited capacity, up to 0.15 inches. Expect increasing cloud cover and winds this evening, with gusts over 20 mph. Our low will be 63 degrees.
Tomorrow - The heaviest rainfall from Helene will arrive at 4 pm on Friday. Rainfall totals will vary drastically in our viewing area, with over 2 inches possible in southern areas like Richmond. North of Muncie could see less the 0.75 inches. Gusts up to 40 mph remain possible, making the commute home on Friday evening potentially dangerous.
7-Day Forecast - With rainfall totals over 2 inches and gusts up to 40 mph possible in our southern viewing area, the weekend will be best to experience from inside until Sunday. Scattered rainfall will still continue through Tuesday, but with far smaller totals than Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will be in the low 70s and upper 60s throughout the week. By Wednesday, expect clear skies to return.
