MUNCIE, Ind. — This Sunday, the Briner Sports Complex hosted Queens University of Charlotte to commence Ball State Soccer’s sixth game, their second at home. The Cardinals were facing an out-of-conference matchup and coming off three road games, which birthed a two-win streak that started with a hype victory against the BIG10’s Michigan University, and Austin Peay followed suit. This was their first game at home since their sore 1-2 loss against Indiana University.
Being back at home did more than good for the girls, however, as the Cardinals came out to keep it at home in a 7-1 victory. The score at halftime was a simple 1-0 lead, with a single goal from Delaney Caldwell, MAC Offensive Player of the Week, earning that title alongside three assists. Once the second half started, the jets really turned on. Only allowing Queens to score one goal while racking up six. This is the second largest amounts of goals scored by the Cardinal Soccer Program, being right under eleven against Youngstown State on September 1st, 2000, a little over 24 years ago.
Briner will be home to their next two games, Indiana University Indianapolis and Bowling Green University, as we continue to host for the next two Thursdays. The Cardinals are striving to continue their win streak and spread their wings of dominance in the Mid-American Conference.
