In its midweek matchup against Purdue, Ball State Baseball was outscored by ten runs and suffered a 13-3 loss.
Each run from the Cardinals was due to solo homers from three different contributors; sophomore Blake Bevis, senior Decker Scheffler and junior Korbin Griffin. Outside of the three home runs, the Cardinals only produced two other hits on the day.
Ball State cycled through eight pitchers on the mound, with players ranging from 3-50 total pitches. Junior Lucas Letsinger threw for 2.1 innings, picking up two strikeouts and allowed three hits and one run.
The Cardinals remain on the road as they head into a Mid-American Conference (MAC) three-game series against Western Michigan Friday April 19 at 3 p.m.
