MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Lady Cardinals are red hot and off to a historic season. Ball State women’s basketball is sitting at a 20-2 record this year and have won their last 14 games in a row, which is the longest in school history.
Not to mention that they are undefeated in conference play, which is also a first in school history as well.
For a team that has done so much already, they are not resting on their laurels and are just as determined as ever to achieve their post season goals. When speaking to coach Brady Sallee, it is no surprise why.
“With a lot of teams, a streak like this could be overwhelming. Our group is pretty calm in general, and they don't get too high or too low with our wins and losses…we have a saying 1-0 every day so no matter what we stay consistent to that," Sallee said.
With that mentality, the team should be a formidable opponent against any team in the country as they aim to crack the top 25, and make some noise in the tournament in March.
Coach Sallee and the Cards look to add on to their historic run this season with win number 15 in a row with a victory over Northern Illinois Wednesday evening. Ball State takes on the Huskies on the road in DeKalb at 7:00 p.m..
