Ball State football is sticking with head coach Mike Neu after a 4-8 season.
In the 2023 season, the Cardinals started with two straight losses against the University of Kentucky and the University of Georgia.
In the first seven games, Ball State was 1-6. In the last five games, Ball State won three out of five, ending the season 4-8.
The former Ball State quarterback who graduated in 1994 started his coaching tenure at Ball State in 2016.
In the eight seasons, Neu has had one winning season (2020). The Cardinals were 7-1 and the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Champions. They also played in the Arizona Bowl, defeating San Jose State. The 2020 season was shortened due to COVID-19.
In the 2021 season, the 6-6 Cardinals went to the TaxAct Camellia Bowl, where they lost to Georgia Southern 51-20, ending their season 6-7.
Over the eight seasons, Neu is 37-56 in all of his games.
