Many events are going on this weekend around Muncie and Delaware County.
Today - June 30
Yorktown will have its Farm and Artisan Market from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The market is in Walnut Grove in Morrow’s Meadow Park. The park has playgrounds, trails and launching sites for kayak trips.
Tonne Winery will have the Hunter Lee Band play as a part of their Music Series. The concert will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Food available will be La Patrona and Farmland BBQ. It is encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs.
DCI Central Indiana will be at Scheumann Stadium starting at 8:00 p.m. The Music for All Summer Symposium participants will be able to watch the drum and bugle corps shows. There will also be a special performance by the camp marching band with the Carolina Crown.
The lineup playing is the Blue Stars, Carolina Crown, The Cavaliers, Colts, Phantom Regiment and Troopers. The performances are free to the campers, but tickets are open to the public from DCI at dci.org.
Saturday, July 1
Ron Bonham Days at Prairie Creek Reservoir will include free swimming, fishing, live music and a bass fishing tournament. There will also be a fireworks show at Prarie Creek Reservoir that night.
The event honors 38-year and chief caretaker of Prairie Creek Reservoir, Ron Bonham. There will also be a back-to-school bash that will raise money for those in need of school supplies for the next school year. The event is from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m.
The Farmers Market at Minnetrista will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon and will have a multitude of vendors and artisans that are selling their products.
Indy Annies will be performing on the Yorktown Civic Green as a part of the Summer Concert Series. Food and drinks will start at 5:30 p.m. and the music will begin at 7:30 p.m.
