Tucker Carlson and FOX News Media have agreed to part ways, according to a statement released by the network. Carlson’s last show was Friday, April 21.
The statement stated “Fox News Tonight” will air live at 8 p.m. EST as “an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
The statement also thanked Carlson for his service to the program. It did not explain why Carlson and FOX News Media separated.
Don Lemon and CNN also parted ways Monday.
CNN Communications released a statement on Twitter stating the decision, and CNN thanked Lemon for his 17 years of service. CNN did not explain the separation.
Lemon also released a statement on Twitter regarding his "termination," stating he was "stunned" and heard about his release from his agent and not management at CNN. However, CNN rebutted this statement and said Lemon's account was "inaccurate," and they had offered Lemon "an opportunity to meet with management."
