Day four of the Ball State Daily News Sports team’s trip to Cleveland saw the Cardinals last game in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament. To start the day, the group went to Starbucks for breakfast for the second day in a row.
Then they traveled to Harry Buffalo, a sports bar across the street from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, to cover a pregame party for Ball State Women’s Basketball’s semifinal matchup against Bowling Green. Following the event, the seven students made their way to the arena for the semifinal game, where Ball State fell to Bowling Green.
Following the game, part of the team worked on recaps and photos while some members attended a press conference for MAC commissioner Dr. John Steinbrecher. After departing from the arena for the final time, the team hit the streets to find another spot to eat.
They were joined by The Star Press’ Gus Martin. With it being the final night for the group in Cleveland, they chose a more expensive destination and went to “Republic Food and Drink.” Everyone ended the dinner with a round of dessert, including standout root beer floats.
Once arriving back at their hotel, the team watched Indiana University V. the University of Maryland Men’s Basketball in the B1GTEN Tournament and prepared for a travel day. Follow up for day five social media content and online content as the group makes their way back to Muncie, Indiana.
