MUNCIE, Ind.--- The University Media Services (UMS) equipment checkout has a new location. The new UMS is located in the Ball Communication center room 153.
All Ball State students must have permission to check out equipment and gear. They must follow all University Media services equipment checkout policies.
Equipment checkouts and returns are available five days a week during operating hours of the check out area.
The relocation of the center was caused by a lack of space and availability.
“We are less crammed and the system is a lot easier to work for the checkout assistants,” Lukas Needham said.
This equipment is available to students because it gives them the opportunity to further their academic experience.
“The move was necessary to hold more equipment and make it more accessible to students,” Needham said.
Reservations for equipment can be made no further than one week in advance. While returning equipment you must be sure everything is accountable or you will be liable to pay for all costs.
Student’s will not be able to check out equipment until the financial restitution has been made.
