August 10, 2022, Ball State Daily News sophomore photographer Amber Pietz captured photos of one of Ball State University's landmarks, LaFollette Complex, under demolition. The dormitory complex was introduced to Cardinals in 1967 and has been partly under demolition since 2017.
Soon enough, the complex should be completed demolished.
In a Twitter post from @bsudailynews, the question was posed, "Alumni: As the LaFollette Complex is torn down this week, what are some of your favorite or most cherished memories in what was truly a Ball State University landmark?" @BobbyDEllis responded, "I came back from working at the DN one night to find that a floor mate had drunkenly run down the hall spraying a fire extinguisher all over." with a self-produced YouTube video to follow.
