MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- Ball State Gymnastics is back in the gym after a two-game losing streak. Last Friday, the team traveled to Utah to faced Utah State and lost both meets. Despite the losses, they had some impressive stars show out once again for the squad.
The sophomore duo of Suki Pfister and Hannah Ruthberg have been dominating as of recently. Pfister has been named the MAC Specialist of the Week and has already had 3 9.9 vaults, which is the only MAC athlete to do that this season. Ruthberg is coming out of the meet placing second in the all-around, which is her second best of the season.
While the team may have lost these two games, the team looks at this week as an upside. Coach Joanna Saleem is glad to be back in the gym after a long time out. She believes that this is their time to fine tune their mechanics and understand what lies ahead. The team will play this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Worthen Arena against a MAC opponent, Bowling Green.
