MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- The Ball State Board of Trustees approved a resolution during a meeting Friday to name Park Hall’s Multipurpose Room after Alan L. Hargrave, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Director of Housing and Residence Life at Ball State.
Vice President of Student Affairs Ro-Anne Royer Engle presented a plaque naming the space the “Dr. Alan L. Hargrave Multipurpose Room.”
Ball State faculty members say he deserved the recognition because he “has shown a profound commitment to the student residential experience, providing expert knowledge and developmental strategies.”
During his time at the university, he managed the development of four residence halls and the renovation of seven.
Hargrave worked at BSU for 35 years. He will retire on June 30.
