MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) -- You've probably seen #SaveOurChildren on your Facebook or Twitter feed, but the movement has made its way to Muncie.
A Facebook group titled SaveOurChildren - Muncie has been made and the group says that their main goal is to raise awareness.
"A lot of people just simply don't have the information about how big this really is," said Samantha Clark, a co-president.
The group has already held events and is spreading the word by making t-shirts.
"We're just wanting to raise awareness so parents know -- this is what you need to look out for. It really starts at home," said co-president Amber Mcgunegill.
Both Clark and Mcgunegill noted their personal, childhood experiences with pedophilia and sexual abuse.
"I had a family member assault me as a kid, I can remember it vividly," Clark recalled.
Mcgunegill noted that she and her daughter experienced sexual assault at the same age.
Both agreed that the movement has three main goals:
1) End human Trafficking
2) End pedophilia
3) Get legislation to change laws that favor predators, to favor victims.
