MUNCIE, Ind (NewsLink) - After 10 years, Old Navy is making its return to Muncie. But this time, it's going into a vacant spot at the Muncie Plaza on Princeton Avenue.
Old Navy’s return was confirmed by a Facebook post by the City of Muncie Tuesday morning. The post stated that their information was confirmed by Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour.
The post received many comments from Muncie residents asking, "Why not the mall?"
Washington Prime Group, owner of both the Muncie Mall and the Muncie Plaza, told NewsLink Indiana that the decision was made based on the needs of the future store.
Old Navy is taking over the store that previously housed MC Sports, which vacated back in 2016.
No official date for the store's opening has been posted.
