After nine seasons, Ball State's Soccer Head Coach Craig Roberts announced his resignation last month, according to a Ball State Sports press release.
Roberts announced his resignation May 22 with the intention of pursuing other coaching opportunities.
Under Roberts, the Cardinals have won three Mid-American Conference West Division titles and claimed back-to-back MAC regular season championships in 2015 and 2016.
Ball State Sports describes Roberts as "the winningest coach in program history." Since arriving at the university in 2010, the Kidderminster, England, native has 99 wins for the Cardinals under his belt.
Craig Roberts' Coaching Record:
Ball State Totals (Nine years):
99-56-28, 56-30-13 MAC
Career Totals (13 years):
133-83-40, 72-39-22 MAC
He also has experience coaching at the national level, assisting the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team and previously doing the same for Haiti.
Over the past four seasons Ball State Soccer marked the best record of any MAC team during that period under Roberts' helm with 35-5-4 in conference play. From 2015-17 the Cardinals finished top in the MAC West division, and second in MAC overall in 2018 after the conference stopped using divisions.
