After 36 holes of golf, Ball State sits in second place of the Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Tournament with a two-round total score of 720, just behind Eastern Kentucky (714).
Junior Michael Makris leads the Cardinals with a 69 and 71 in his first two rounds, respectively, which has him tied for fifth in the individual standings.
“Even-par after two rounds is pretty dang good golf,” Makris said. “I just kind of came out here this morning feeling like it was just another day at Delaware Country Club.”
Junior Michael VanDeventer also helped push Ball State into second place. He's tied for eighth place individually with a one-over-par.
Makris said the Cardinals are in good position to overtake the Colonels tomorrow.
