If you have leftover ham from Easter weekend, this is the perfect way to get rid of it. If you don't, you might want to go buy some ham.
Ham and cheese sliders
Ingredients:
- Hawaiian sweet rolls (entire package)
- Several pieces of ham
- Cheddar cheese
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Directions:
- Slice the rolls in half so you end up with a kind of giant top and bottom of bread.
- In a small bowl, combine the butter and garlic. Use a basting brush to pour half the mixture on the bottom bread (pouring will work, too).
- Layer ham, then cheese on the bread.
- Butter the top half of the bread and place on top. Wrap the entire works in aluminum foil and bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. We used a grill, which was fine, but be sure to use the lowest possible heat setting and move the sliders around to prevent burning.
- Remove the foil wrapped slider package from the heat and unwrap. Cut into roll-size bites and serve.
